Dan Brady launches campaign to replace Armond Budish as county executive
Aaaand we're off! A few weeks, ago, I laid out how the scandals sucking down Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish are giving rise to a Shakespearean plot (likely tied to former prosecutor Bill Mason) to replace Budish with County Council President Dan Brady, without an election. Democracy! County reform! Now that the FBI has Budish's phone and laptop, sucking in even landed gentry corpulent sow Democratic Party Shaker Hts. Councilman Rob Zimmerman, today, Dan Brady opened fire.
Cleveland Dot Oligarchy reports today that all of a sudden, they realized (just today!) a letter demanding budget cuts at the county jail (which duly then killed 8 people) sent by Budish to County Council (did I mention Dan Brady is that council's president? mighta missed it) is oddly missing the very paragraphs demanding the budget cuts compared to the exact same letter sent to Cleveland Dot Plutocrat, which doesn't mention budget cuts at the jail.
I wonder who from County Council would give our storied local paper such a big scoop?
Brady said he was offended by the other paragraph that was missing from the version provided to cleveland.com. It reads, in part: “And it should also be noted that we must operate under a very tight, balanced, budget. So along with your generous offer to provide additional funds for jail healthcare, I look forward to your suggestions as to which programs should be cut to pay for it.”
Said Brady: “The part of it that I took objection to when I first saw it was the business about additional funding for nurses, because it didn’t reflect how I remembered [a previous] conversation between he and I where he had promised they would raise the salaries of the nurses. I found out later that that had not occurred, and so I was offended by that particular paragraph.”
Dan Brady is duly offended! It's a common tactic of "journalists" these days to hide their source for a story while at the same time quoting that source in the story. Here, Brady being the one guy who would both (a) know the two paragraphs were missing, and (b) has an agenda to fuck Budish in the ass, Brady clearly called the reporter with the agenda of shivving Budish, on the condition that he be unnamed as the source, and get a super awesome quote. This tactic allows the source, Brady, to then preen as the featured quote, saying precisely what they wish to say about the big "scoop" the source themselves created. Best practices!
Irony upon irony, Brady shivs Budish while also prancing around as some champion of the downtrodden jail inmates Brady, and his sponsor Bill Mason, have spent their entire careers cramming into that hellish jail like drunken Irish Dickens characters on steroids. Seems to me the clock just starting ticking faster on both Budish's resignation, and the return of yet another Bill Mason racket to power. Yay Democrats!
